Dance to build relationships (Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3)
Through using dance strategies to build our understandings of relationships, we are collaborating and connecting in ways we did not know were possible.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
When we collaborate with others we make new connections & build relationships where we could not have thought to look before.
Sometimes we are faced with a challenging situation or may have a difficult time. Dance can help us learn to build relationships with people & even things in our environment through these situations.
Students will be encouraged to:
• Reflect on and to think of situations when they have had to rely on an existing relationship or work towards making new ones.
• Consider places and spaces where they feel most comfortable and safe, and why.
• Develop different ways to express and tell a story.
*Teacher resources to support this session are also available.
