Bush School online: Bats Big and Small
Sep

Join our Bush School and let your child connect to Australia’s unique nature.
Bush School is a nature play program that combines storytelling, a nature based activities, and nature games.
Have you ever seen a bat flying in the night sky or heard them flapping or screeching outside your house?
Today we are going to talk about the different kinds of bats we commonly see and hear in Sydney. We’ll learn how they navigate, what they eat, when and where they sleep, scavenge and hunt. We’ll make giant echolocation bat ears to use in a fun bat navigation game you can play at home.
This session will be held live on Zoom. You will need internet access and the Zoom app to participate in this session. Two days before the event, we will email you the Zoom link, plus a worksheet and a list of items so you can be ready to do the activities during or immediately after the session if you wish.
