Join CBCA shortlisted author and illustrator Gabriel Evans for an enjoyable and informative session on making picture books!
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Gabriel will share his own personal method for designing characters and developing humorous and heartfelt stories. Students will gain insight into making picture books in this fun, hands-on workshop and have an opportunity to ask Gabriel questions in an interactive Q&A.
Students will need a pencil and paper for this session.

Technology and Materials Requirements
This virtual excursion will be held online via Zoom. You will be sent the link to join with your booking confirmation.
Students can connect to our virtual excursions when learning from home. As a teacher, you will only need to register once to receive a link you can share with your students.
During the session, students will be able to ask questions by writing in the chat and they will not share any audio or video. All messages will be visible to the presenters but not to any other students.
When students use the link to join the virtual excursion they may be asked to download Zoom if they don’t already have it installed. They do not need to set up a Zoom account to participate.

This virtual excursion will be held online via Zoom. You will be sent the link to join with your booking confirmation. Please advise us of any cancellations ahead of time to enable another school to fill your space. We are unable to provide technical assistance during the conference so please ensure you have tested your equipment and are comfortable trouble-shooting during the session if necessary. Cancellation Policy: Please notify us of any cancellation at least 48 hours beforehand, to enable another school to fill your place.
