Did you know that turtles can breathe out of their bottoms? Join us to explore more about Awesome Adaptations!


ACTIVITY OUTLINE:

During the lesson Stage 1 students will learn:

what an adaptation is
to distinguish between the different types of adaptations (structural and behavioural)
how adaptations help plants and animal survive
to design and draw their own animal.

Your students will be led through this fun and interactive lesson by NSW Department of Education Environmental Education teachers. All activities and concepts covered will align with the Australian curriculum.

describe how adaptations help plants and animals survive
identify 3 plant and 3 animal adaptations.

Cancellation Policy

Our school holds limited seating, and many of our classes sell out. For this reason, we request that you cancel at least 72 business hours before your scheduled lesson. This will allow us to offer your spot to another school.

You may call us on 02 4573 6323 or alternatively cancel on the Dart Learning Website.

If you give us at least 72 hours’ notice of your need to cancel, we will credit your payment toward another lesson.

However, if you do not cancel with at least 72 hours’ notice, you will lose any payments you have already made.

Joining The Event

Technology and Materials Requirements

The virtual lesson will be via Zoom. Once the booking is confirmed a link to Zoom will be sent. A link to a Google Site with supporting materials will also be sent.

Teachers will need a computer with a webcam and microphone to access the webinar.

Students will need a piece of blank drawing paper and a pencil.
