Australian Reading Hour – Stories that Matter for Teens

Celebrate Australian Reading Hour in your classroom with this inspiring event for young people featuring some of their favourite Australian writers and illustrators. Come behind the pages to discover how the stories we tell, real and imagine, help shape our sense of identity, belong and understanding, as individuals, communities, and as a nation.
Get ready for Australian Reading Hour 2021!
Hosted by Yumi Stynes with a stellar cast of Australia’s talented YA writers including Danielle Binks, Sara Hagdhootsi, Will Kostakis, Jeremy Lachlan and Lili Wilkinson, in-conversation with Jenna Guillaume and Tobias Madden. This event for secondary school students also explores career pathways into books and publishing, and showcases an extraordinary interactive 360° film based on the life of Peek Wurrung Elder Uncle Rob Lowe and the importance of telling’s own story.
