ASSEMBLY, by Australian artist Angelica Mesiti (Stage 3, Stage 4)
Nov

Join educators from the National Gallery and the Museum of Australian Democracy, students will delve into themes of place, connection and community, and how art can be a platform to amplify your voice.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Students across Australia are invited to experience ASSEMBLY by Australian artist Angelica Mesiti through this live, interactive webinar.
Filmed partially at Old Parliament House in Canberra, this session will incorporate documentation of work as well as exploring the heritage spaces within the Museum of Australian Democracy. Students will learn about the intersection between the Arts and Civics and Citizenship and be encouraged to explore a range of ways that young people can have their say in our democracy.
Throughout the excursion, students will be prompted to share their ideas and answer questions via the Q&A on zoom as well as dive deeper into the work of art and explore creative ideas through the online Learning Resource, shared at the end of the session.
Project 3: Angelica Mesiti is currently on display at the National Gallery until the 29 January 2023.
This digital excursion is produced in partnership with the Museum of Australian Democracy.
