ARTiculate Talk Series: Modern History: Wartime Diplomacy and China’s Status as a Great Power (Stage 6, Teacher)

Designed and delivered by academic experts in the field, our ARTiculate talks complement the knowledge gained in the classroom, while providing a unique opportunity to engage with leading academics from the University of Sydney.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
This webinar will discuss China’s diplomatic strategies during its war of resistance against Japan and World War II. We will consider shifting relationships with great powers such as the Soviet Union and the United States, and the way that these relationships were complicated by China’s own social divisions and the Guomindang’s rivalry with the Chinese Communist Party.
- The 60-minute webinar is suitable for Year 11-12 students in the HSC Modern History course.
- Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions in the Live Q&A.
