A virtual week in Canberra 2023 – Defining Moments in Australian Migration (Stage 2, Stage 3)

Where do we come from?
Join us at the National Museum of Australia to explore stories of migration.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Students will explore key moments in Australian migration that influenced the Australia they know today.
From the First Fleet to the Goldfields to the Snowy Mountains; many of us or our ancestors have come across the seas, bringing our cultural traditions with us.
Join us to explore key questions such as: Where did your ancestors come from? Why did they come to Australia?Who were Australia’s first migrants? How has this immigration shaped our multicultural democracy? What is the impact of migration on First Nations people and the continent we all now share.
