- From a site-specific viewpoint discover the reasoning for the preferred National Capital’s chosen location. Learn about surveyor Charles Scrivener and his exacting mapping of the Yass Goulburn region.
- View the successful winning Griffin Design and learn why it was so ahead of its time in terms of creative design thinking.
- The Griffins envisaged a capital city immersed in the landscape with geometric vistas and ornamental waters. How will this iconic design be managed toward a sustainable future?
- Join Educator Kate Collins and National Capital Exhibition Curator Roslyn Hull as they discuss the Griffin Design creation and future vision of the iconic National Capital.
- This virtual tour and live discussion is a great way to introduce students to the National Capital and active Civics and Citizenship values.

She recently curated the Magic of Marion, an anniversary exhibition acknowledging the significant contribution of Marion Mahony Griffin to Canberra’s history.
Kate Collins is a passionate educator having worked in Art Galleries and Museums for many years. She is currently a Senior Education Officer at the National Capital Exhibition developing innovate learning programs. She has a particular interest in educating for sustainable futures.
