A Fijian Perspective (Stage 6, TAFE Students, Teacher, Parent)
Jun

This Virtual Highlight Tour will be delivered using Zoom.
ACTIVITY OUTLINE:
Join us as we celebrate Pride Month with poet Peter Sipeli and visual artist Kirikiti Juna, as they talk about life and portraits from their uniquely Fijian LGBTIQA+ perspective.
Kirikiti Juna is a Suva based visual artist. After losing his mum, Kiti returned to his family homestead to help care for his young brother, who lives with an intellectual disability. It was through caring for his brother that Kiti developed his creative practice which explores heritage, national memory.
Peter Sipeli has more than two decades of expertise in using and managing advocacy through artistic expression. He is an arts manager, a gay activist who uses storytelling as advocacy, and is a supporter of the Spoken Word Movement in Fiji.
